I am finally back!
I arrived around 18:00 last night and ate a shitload of Taco Bell xD
:iconateenageobsession: wanted to know how Paris was..and I bet a few dozen other people would like to know as well ;P so in this Journal entry I will describe everything until I get bored describing it xD
Here we go:
We stayed in a small hotel which is called a boutique hotel because it sat between some shops and a bar as if it was a little store as well. The keys to get in out room were not electronic. They were made of a hard plastic and on the end of them had what looked like hole punched patterns that fit the lock. I had my own room so all I did was keep up with my own one (I am proud that I never lost it xD).
Paris is a huge city, like Boston or New York City but with more traffic and less green areas. While walking on the sidewalk there were shops on one side and the road on the other. There is a butt-load of traffic filled with small cars, buses, taxis, motorcycles, and even bicycles.
The French people are different from Americans. They actually mind their own business so they never give creeper stares or smiles like they do if I were simply walking from one street to the next in my neighborhood. The French are healthily slender, tall, many are good looking and very fashionable. The only problem is that half of the population seemed to smoke so the air was usually stuffy and it feels that your lungs have already turned grey (50 Shades niggah xD).
The fashion in France is perfect for a goth like me. Their clothes usually consist of the colors black, grey, red, off-white, and naturally dark browns. They wore many black button up coats (it was freezing you guys xD -33 Celsius), elegant scarfs, cute hats, and boots. The men even wore scarfs, is that not amazing? SCARFS YOU GUYS, THEY DO NOT DO THAT IN AMERICA. The women do not rely on makeup in their fashion, they focus on natural beauty (that is probably why they do not shave either xD). So the only time makeup is used is for a party or fancy dinner.
The food was fucking fabulous. They had croque-monsieur which is a ham and cheese sandwich but the cheese is grilled on top so it is all melty and arousing to the senses xD. They had many healthy salads, raw fish, and rare steaks. What surprised me was all the French fries they served with their meals..they are not even French O.o but do not worry, the fries were not salted like McDonalds so they are of course healthier than the average fry. Personally I am not a big French Fry Fan (try saying that 3 times) unless it was McDonalds soo..yeah. They had their famous escargot (snails) but they did not serve it in very many places so I suppose it was not very popular (I still ate it). During every meal they will ALWAYS serve cut up baguettes in little baskets. Baguettes are fucking amazing you guys, especially in its home country. The people even carried 3 foot baguettes around, eating it as if it was cotton candy. (I will miss them TT^TT). The desserts were very delicious. Creme Brulee, mini cakes, colorful macaroons and even..NUTELLA CREPES. BEST SHIT IN THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD. NUTELLA. FUCKING. CREPES.
So how are the people so skinny from all this food? They walk or bicycle everywhere and their food is waaaay healthier and more organic than ours AND they eat sweets probably once or twice a week.
I visited many of the big sites such as Louvre, Pompidou, the Arc of Triumph, the cathedral of Notre Dame, and of course the Eiffel tower. My favorite destinations would probably be Louvre and Notre Dame so I guess I will talk about them xD
Louvre is a HUGE palace that now sits as an art museum holding famous works such as one of the Paradise paintings, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, and the Mona Lisa. You cannot see the whole museum in one day, it takes at least 3 or 4 to do so. My favorite section of it was the Italian artists because of all the romantic and renaissance art, particularly the art based on religion, history, and Greek literature. It is the perfect place for artists to recieve much inspiration.
Notre Dame is, as you know, a beautiful gothic cathedral. It is more detailed than I expected it to be. It is covered in statues of Mary, Jesus, possibly Joseph, saints, priests, evangelists, angels, and of course gargoyles. The inside was huge and almost medieval. There were so many people from around the world there, visiting and praying (there were many Japanese tourists there). So religious or not, you have to appreciate all the work that was done to build such a fantastic sight. Every statue, stained glass window, chandelier, decoration, and tile contained symbolism of some sort. (My twin drew some of the architecture while visiting)

Okay I am done typing about this for now xD leave a comment of what else you would like to know more about :iconcommentplz:
